My name is Bethany, and I have the immense privilege of being the Project Lead for INVOLVE 2020! I am humbled to organise such an incredible conference with a team of mighty youth champions to support me.

As well as being a huge fan of young people, I am also passionate about social justice, painting, music, plant-based food, and good beer. My home (and heart) are shared by my fiancé, our dog and cat, two sheep, a couple of roosters and a peahen.

I have just started in this role, and can’t wait to see what it has in store. I had the opportunity to attend INVOLVE 2018 and was impacted by how powerful it was to meet as a whole sector in a single space. And getting to know the people sitting around me, hearing about their work with young people and their passion for their professions, I knew I had found my people!

I am learning it is a big job to run a conference of INVOLVE’s magnitude but I am ready for the challenge. And I am already excited to see you all in Wellington on 17 August 2020. Bring it on!
