The Cause Collective/Do Good, Feel Good

Young people in South Auckland are being mobilised for social change. This presentation will highlight how Do Good Feel Good utilises different innovative approaches such as systems change to engage young people and develop their leadership capabilities to focus on matters important to them.

  • Youth Perspective on Wellbeing - Te Ahi o Ngā Rangatahi, BGI
Last year a group of 20 young people from around Wellington called Te Ahi o Ngā Rangatahi gathered over 1200 youth perspectives on Mental Wellbeing before analysing and writing up their findings. The whole point is to get decision makers and others working with young people to hear their voices so come along and listen to what they have to say!

  • Co-design in action-Young people as partners in decision making at all levels - Karla Sanders, Abby Golden, Meg Thomas, Sticks 'n Stones
”If it's about us, without us, it's not for us”.  This quote captures how important our rangatahi are to how Sticks 'n Stones works.  From governance to merchandise, programmes and resources to partnerships with government hear from us how authentic co-design works in practice and why it is so important.

  • For Youth, By Youth in Action - Jaye Barclay and Compass Ramsay, InsideOUT

Two youth leaders from InsideOUT will share across some of our different programmes how we engage and involve young people in genuine and meaningful ways. This includes how we retain involvement, support youth development and provide a reciprocal relationship, and how all of this keeps our organisation thriving.
