Presentation Formats

Please read the presentation descriptions below and choose the format which best fits your presentation.

The programme committee reserves the right to refine session format, content and/or speaker selection.

Presentations:

Presentations are short (15mins), stimulating overviews of effective and innovative research, practice, projects, and programmes.

Snapshots

Three presenters will be grouped and each will give their presentation once during the session with time at the end for a facilitated discussion.
Presentations will:

  • be visual, engaging and inspirational

  • include a tool or one-pager to give participants

  • have access to a computer and data projector for PowerPoint (focus on images and limit the number of slides)

  • be facilitated alongside two other presentations

[Bus Stops and Panels]

This year, you won’t have the option to choose Bus Stops as a presentation format. This is because we are unable to record multiple kōrero in the same room at the same time for the digital stream of INVOLVE 2021. However, if we think that adding a Bus Stop to the programme would add extra value, the INVOLVE team may approach you to present in this way at a later time. The same may occur with Panel formats.

Bus Stops enable a more dynamic approach to presenting and learning, allowing attendees to move around and experience three presentations over one session. Presenters repeat their Bus Stop three times per session to a new audience each time.
Panels consist of a curated speaker list who are experts in a topic or share similar experiences. These individuals present conversationally through Q+A format with a facilitator.

Workshops (2 options):

Workshops provide participants with the opportunity to learn new skills, tools, and perspectives. Presenters will need to include a tool or one-pager to give participants.  Workshops run for one hour.

1.       Training or upskilling

These workshops focus on professional development opportunities where participants will learn new skills, tools or align with professional body requirements where attendees can get credits or a certificate through attending.

2.       Interactive and experiential workshop

Participants in these workshops will learn new skills, tools and perspectives in an interactive forum. Presenters must provide a summary of the tools and perspectives presented, including links to further information.
