Psychological First Aid and Wellbeing

During this presentation, you will learn more about how Psychological First Aid (PFA) can be useful when someone is in distress. It will teach you skills that are useful to help friends and family cope with things happening in their everyday lives. Our education and training is in response to the worsening rates relating to mental health and wellbeing in New Zealand. Attendees will:
Develop an understanding of the principles of PFA and how and when it is used
Be able to recognize stress reactions and leave with strategies to help manage your own stress
Gain a support process and practical skills of the Look, Listen and Link framework to enable you to provide PFA
