When and where is INVOLVE?

Due to COVID-19, the decision was made earlier this year to host INVOLVE 2020 digitally via Zoom, with an in-person conference in 2021.
INVOLVE 2020 will be held online on 17-18 August 2020.
INVOLVE 2021 will be held in Wellington on 9-11 August 2021.
Registrations for both are currently open with further details on the 2021 conference coming later next year.

Do I need to register?

Yes! We won’t be live streaming INVOLVE, or sharing the links publically, which means you must be registered for INVOLVE to access any of the conference sessions.

Registration is FREE thanks to our sponsors Te Hirina Hauora/HPA and the Ministry for Youth Development.

How does registering work?

You can register your group and also register a second (or third, fourth etc) individual so that you have multiple log ins, and multiple screens connected. This would mean you can offer your team the choice of breakouts to attend but still be together for the Speaker Sessions.

All you need to do is decide if you would like to watch as a group (i.e. all of you at one computer joining the same sessions together) or individually (from different computers, perhaps in different locations). Once you have decided this you can register (for free!) for the conference at https://events.humanitix.com/involve-2020

You will then be sent an email that gives you access to all the Zoom links we will be using for INVOLVE. (Don’t worry- if you can’t find this email, it may be located in your Spam folder, but we will be sending out a second version closer to the time).

Can I be a presenter?

Our programme for 2020 has already been confirmed. If you would like to present in 2021, please sign up to keep up to date on when 2021 applications open.

What happens if I have already bought a ticket for the physical conference?

If you had already purchased a ticket for the 2020 conference before we made the move to a free digital conference, you may either reach out to receive a refund now, or your ticket will automatically be valid for use at the 2021 conference next year.

Can I help out?

Will I be able to watch the conference later?

You can purchase a Later Access pass which gives you access to all videos from INVOLVE 2020! These are just $10 (+gst and booking fee).

Later Access videos will be available through a link for viewing but not for download. You will be able to watch each video as many times as you choose within a 3-month period.

What should I expect at INVOLVE 2020?

The Live conference will have interactive elements in all sessions, which is why we are encouraging as many people as are able to join us on the 17-18th. This will include Q+A slots, crowd-sourcing information via polls and the Sli.Do app. Some of the Breakout Sessions are deliberately catered to be highly interactive, so the presenters will act like facilitators for the whole group.

The Later Access pass will give you access to all sessions from the conference (four Speaker Sessions + 20 Breakout Sessions) that you can watch in your own time. You will be able to access all the videos for a three-month period, and re-watch each video as many times as you like.

What’s the difference between a personal and group ticket?

If you are joining as one group, from a single computer (i.e. physically together, watching the same thing), then you will need to register as a Group . This will also mean that, as a group, you will need to decide for each of the Breakouts, which session you will attend.

If you are joining from different spaces (e.g. watching from home or in different rooms of the same office) you will each need to register to have access to all the Zoom links. Watching as individuals means each person can choose the Breakouts they wish to attend.

Help! I can’t find my registration email!

If you can’t find your email in your inbox, try checking your Junk or Spam folders. You can also search your inbox for the phrase “Humanitix Orders” or “access online event”.
We will be sending out a reminder link on Monday 10 August and 48 hours before INVOLVE kicks off.
